Richard Merrell - Riches
1 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
That which he holds in his hands
Those fleeting earthly riches
That drain away as the sands?
Or do true riches lay
Within the inner man
His heart, his soul, his spirit
Which make him what they can?
For the richest of the rich
Can be much poorer that the poor
If money close his heart to them
As a mighty steel vault door.
A poor man in his integrity
Can be the richest man of all
When his heart is turned to God -
He can make the great men fall.
So are the riches of this world
Really worth how much they cost?
For 'tis better to be a poor man saved -
Than to be a rich man lost!
Mark 10: 17-27
