Some memories I have locked away,
I have the only key.
They never see the light of day,
Fond memories of you and me.

I bring them out at dead of night,
When I awaken from my dream.
Angelically the moonbeams light
Our path by the babbling stream.

The music of the rustling leaves
As the gentle breezes sing.
The moon smiles upon us knowingly
Because it knows what love can bring.

I hear, again, your lilting tones,
Silvery echoes from the past.
Life's trials and tribulations
Will never, true love, outlast.

And yet, my darling, you must leave,
Before sunlight filters through.
It's then I drop off back to sleep,
And dream, my love, of you.
