Richard Allen Beevor - Words
2 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
population, postulation, congregation, registration.
Words growing ever in size,
letters that form before your eyes,
business built and business fall,
in words scrawled upon the wall,
Kingdom come and Kingdom go,
because of words spoken to slow.
Letters written to friends who leave,
words that tell a heart to grieve,
songs elate with words of love,
use a phrase and rise above,
many tongues from lands afar
transport words out to a star,
cries in the night a broken heart,
with bitter words do lovers part,
echoes from mountain peaks repeat
words with which the universe speaks,
living in the shade of oral terms,
words are read by one who learns,
before your tongue can blind your eyes,
before your heart gives up and cries,
do one thing for our sake now,
shut up! take a silence vow.
