most of the time
people who love each other
take time
to be with each other

holding hands and
hugging
and taking time just
to listen to
sweet nothings

there is something however
which compels me
to create the distance
between us

sometimes to love and
to love truly
one must leave

embrace the wisdom
of solitude
making sacrifices so love
may have
time to grow so that the world
may have its peace

this is us, in two different worlds
gazing between
light years
