I've learned to stand on my own
I've learned to never give in

You've been hurt so bad you went numb
you've cried yourself to sleep so many times

We've been through bad times
But we're always by each others side
We've been through so much together that this shouldn't affect us

I've hurt you because of my insecurity
you never hurt me, even when I deserved to be hurt

You are my best friend
You are important to me and I do need you in my life

I know you'll always be there for me an you should know I'll always be there for you

You say you love me
And I say I love you
Those three little words will never again mean anything more than as friends

So that never again will I feel the hurt of someone saying them and not meaning it when they do
