Rex mayor Ubini - Full Moon
1 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
Stares at me aloof a stygian sky,
Arrayed in love and tranquillity
I see anew your white silhouette,
A full smile at our somber soil,
Reminds me of our stolen days,
Days that cannot be redeemed
Days full of blackness and folk ways
Etor, ekor, Osiwey,
Those were our sisters' pastime
Abu sie, abu sie...
That was my mother's lullaby
And under your rain of helless ray,
Young ears would sit in circle at evenings,
Attached to the sweet breath of old lips,
And you are our lantern to see:
How they move myths and fables,
But you would leave too soon,
And we would wait and wait,
To see you 'gain full moon.
