In this live lecture, I'll discuss revolution of vector.
Resolution of a vector is the splitting of a single vector into two or more vectors in different directions which together produce a similar effect as is produced by a single vector itself. The vectors formed after splitting are called component vectors.
The components of a vector in two dimension coordinate system are usually considered to be x-component and y-component. It can be represented as, V = (vx, vy), where V is the vector. These are the parts of vectors generated along the axes.
The constant (called a scalar) is multiplied to both components to ensure that both components (i and j) are 'scaled' by the same factor, thus ensuring that the vector is pointing in the same direction. In general, the constant distributes through all the components of the vector.
The dot product of two vectors is the sum of the products of their corresponding components. It is the product of their magnitudes multiplied by the cosine of the angle between them.
