Researchers Control Magnetically-Levitated Objects with Light
Description
Japanese researchers have managed to move a magnetically-levitated, graphite disc using nothing more than a laser beam. This would reportedly be useful for optically-driven turbines or change the way magnetically levitated vehicles are controlled.
