The purpose to set up a Bullion Corporation of India is to control the huge gold imports. Idle gold in the domestic market will be recycled for consumption of Indian borrowers, thus reducing demand. Mint's Dinesh Unnikrishnan tells us why the experts aren't in favour of this.
