I'll write...if only I've words
that will frame you perfectly
within each intellectual turn
- a poetry perhaps of a certain form

I'll sing...if only I've voice
that will keep you oblivious
of a far too familiar world
- a lullaby maybe which never grows old

i'll dance...if only i have you
to hold my breath with, in each
sway, in each turn...in each back and forth
-rumba all night for whatever its worth.

I'll paint...if i only I've the color
that will capture your eyes, your smile,
your thoughts, your world...your soul
-a realism that will outpour my all.

But if none of these come close
to anything my heart cries for
then i'll rest my shoulders to
eternal goodbyes...may God hear my sighs....
