Reid: "We cannot make the same mistake again"
Description
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Following a vote in the U.S. senate to pass legislation that would avert a government debt default and end the federal shutdown, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he was happy about the legislative action, and called averting a default crisis, "historic".
"I'm very happy we just completed a bipartisan vote to reopen the government and to avert a default on our bills. It will be some time before we realize the effects of what we've just done. But the shutdown has hurt our economy to a significant degree," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said.
