Description
Sources have told Al Jazeera that talks have succeeded in diffusing tensions in the country.
The first visit by a Saudi king to Lebanon in 50 years comes amid fears that the results of a UN inquiry into the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri, will spark an outbreak of violence by implicating Hezbollah members in the killing.
Saudi Arabi and Syria support opposing factions in Lebanon and the talks were seen as a show of support for the country's stability.
Al Jazeera's Rula Amin reports from Beirut.
