Red Squirrels Beat the Pox
Description
A team of Liverpool reds is doing well: not the Liverpool football team, but the red squirrels of the National Trust site at Formby. The squirrels there, in research carried out by the University of Liverpool and supported by the National Trust, have been found to show signs of resistance to squirrel pox. Squirrel pox is often carried by the invasive grey squirrel, but the native reds are fighting back!
