Red Meat Myths

Description
The new research, published in the March issue of the British Nutrition Foundation’s (BNF) Nutrition Bulletin, also found that most people in the UK population eat moderate amounts of red meat. The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition is expected to make a recommendation this week that those consuming large amounts of red meat (more than 70g per day) should consider a reduction. However, official consumption figures show that for most people, no action is required as intakes are below this level.
