Last year we reported on the case of a Tennessee waitress named Toni Jenkins who got a reciept with the N word written in the tips section.

Now it seems that the man who she claims wrote the derogatory word on the slip is filing suit.

Devin Barnes claims he simply wrote the word "No Tip" and skipped the total section on the paper before signing his name because he made a take-home order. Whatever the case, he or someone altered the slip and wrote the 'N-bomb' on it. Once Jenkins saw it, she became upset enough to post it to her facebook page publicly and it went viral.

She lost her job because it's against company policy to post customer information on the internet. However there was even an internet campaign to raise funds and awareness about it. Jenkins used the money to pay her nursing school tuition.

A handwriting expert analyzed the receipt and determined that the racial slur was written by a different person. Jenkins has since gone on record since the incident, backtracking her earlier statement and now says she has nothing against Barnes, and sympathises with what he must be going through.

Even still Barnes is going forward with the court case.
