RED DOG

1941. On the front line near Moscow, German forces attack the field hospital of the Red Army.
Wounded soldiers fight back against the enemy, but are heavily defeated. The hospital is destroyed.
Among the staff, young surgeon, Sergey Topolev, his shepherd dog “Red hair”, and his
girlfriend, nurse Nastja manage to survive,

While the healing process begins, Sergey and Nastia decide to get married.
Meanwhile, "Red hair” starts demonstrating an almost human appreciation, dedication and friendship for Topolev and facilitates
his reentry into the ranks of the army. Because of the dog’s extraordinary intelligence, Topolev
and his dog are sent to the Dog Training Center, where they prepare the canines for military service with Topolev as a
veterinarian, and “Red hair” as a coach. Things seem to finally improve for the two friends but one day
Topolev is hit by terrifying news: dogs are now being trained as living bombs in order to destroy enemy tanks on the frontline.

German troops now approach Moscow, and Topolev is being sent to the front line with his highly-trained dog.

But the Russian Army is outnumbered and the battlefield is a bloody mess. Topolev is soon wounded and trapped between two enemy
tanks. To protect civilians, Topolev still manages to blow up one of the tanks but now has to decide whether he will send “Red hair” to destroy the
other. In order to survive the horrors of war the two friends now have to save each other in this epic tale of an unlikely and unconditional friendship between
a valorous veterinarian and a very special dog.
