Rebels taking up arms in Syria

Rebels take up arms in Aleppo amid reports of shelling by Syrian government forces.

Amateur video out of Syria which could not be independently verified by Reuters comes as six days of fierce fighting inside Damascus continues.

More footage, said to be from Damascus shows the clouds of war over parts of the Capital. Rebels are pouring into the city for what they are calling the "Damascus Volcano and Syrian Earthquake"

As protesters continue to take to the streets world powers are now bracing for the last phase of the conflict, hoping to shoehorn President Bashar al Assad out of power without unleashing a sectarian war.
