Rebels plan to put a stranglehold on Assad

It's an international frontier an important trade route yet a rebel force is now maintaining control four kilometres beyond this checkpoint. Turkey hasn't officially closed its border post but its nationals are being stopped from crossing and others are being discouraged.

The strategy of the Free Syrian Army is to try to put a stranglehold on its enemy by taking over border points.
