Rebels, government forces battle for Aleppo

This is Aleppo where rebels are in a building by building battle with government forces --- both determined to control Syria's largest city.

The stakes here are even higher following the military's win in Qusair. Both Aleppo and the city of Deir Al Zoir came under heavy fire according to video posted to a social media website whose content Reuters cannot indepedently verify.

And in the capital, government warplanes pounded rebel strong holds -- just a day after the U.S. announced it would help arming opposition fighters.
