Rebels fight through Syrian snow

Hell has frozen over.

New amateur video from Syria, where more than 125,000 have been killed, appears to show rebels fighting through the snow-covered city of Deraa.

Trudging through a blanket of white powder, rebels can be seen carrying a wounded fighter before one collapses to the ground.

Reuters cannot independently verify the video, which was posted on a social media website.

Later, a flag belonging to a division of the Islamic Front is seen before a spray of gunfire.

The winter weather is expected to take a disastrous toll on the millions displaced in the country.
