You are too beautiful
you blind me....
like the sun,
spreading charismatic rays

bathing me in warmth,
burning into my flesh
blistering my naked soul

I am numb...beyond pain
remove these chains
binding me-
to you

our past creeps into the present,
wielding charm like a weapon,
deceiving my conscience

gazing into you...
I struggle against the glare.
I am-
I remain-

Powerless.
