I remember when you pulled my hair
I remember when you struck me with the back of your hand
Why did you do it?

I remember when you used to scream in my face
I remember hiding under the table when you were mad
Why did you do it?

I remember when you guys would fight and you threw things at each other
I remember protecting my younger sibling
Why did you do it?

I remember I tried to be perfect
I remember wanting to run away at the age of 5
Why did I do it?

I remember having nightmares and no one was there to comfort me
I remember crying myself to sleep
Why did I do it?

I remember feeling alone
I remember starting my spiral of self destruction
Why did I do it?

I remember the first time I self destructed my skin
I remember the first time I felt unworthy
Why did I do it?

I remember the first time my mom threatened to kick me out of the house....I was 10
I remember everything
What is wrong with me?
