Rebecca Cox - Do You Remember?

Description
A fake smile to hide it all
But one that always shows my ungraceful fall.
Even now, I still think of what could’ve been,
Still remember the last time I saw you again.
The door to truth has opened, your true colors revealed,
My heart still pains, even though it has healed.
A mask of love, you wore for me,
A disguise, a fake, a meaningless effort,
I wonder now, if your words were ever true,
I wonder and wallow in confusion, as I continue to think of you.
A mess you left for me to clean up,
The tornado’s path of pain and sorrow, you lay in your wake,
Every moment closer to my heart’s full break.
Some words from your friend, not even from your own mouth,
Those are the words I remember from my being with you.
A memory dark and dull, of tears and of pain,
Of a sleepless night, and a day of distain.
Do you not remember how I had made you feel?
Like you were the only, the moon and the sun,
Like you the first since time had begun?
