Reading and Leeds rocks to a close

The Foo Fighters bring the Reading Festival to a rocking close.

'The Cure' were the first to headline the three-day event, with tens of thousands watching the veteran rockers belt out hits like 'Friday I'm in Love.'

Festival crowds were treated to a surprise set by 'Green Day', followed by headliners, Brit rockers 'Kasabian.'

The bill also included The Kaiser Chiefs and The Black Keys, who were among the headline acts at the sister festival in Leeds.

Overall around 170,000 people were expected to attend over the three days, with Florence and the Machine and the Shins also on the line-up.
