Multiple media formats are also supported including MP3, MPEG, and MPEG2 on pretty much any type of recordable disc (DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD Audio, CD-R, CD-RW, etc...You get the picture.) The HDV5000 also supports Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby True HD, and Windows Media. The picture quality of HD DVD movies played through the HDV5000 looks amazing, which makes the 45 second wait time for the player to boot a little easier to tolerate. With a reasonable price point of around $460, this HD DVD player may garner plenty of attention.
