[RBSP] Spacecraft Probe's A & B Separated
Description
NASA's RBSP Probes A & B successfully separated from the Centaur upper stage after it performed a second burn after 56 minutes of coasting in orbit.
The probes will study dynamic regions of space known as the Van Allen Radiation Belts that surround Earth. Understanding the radiation belt environment and its variability has important practical applications in the areas of spacecraft operations, spacecraft system design, mission planning and astronaut safety.
