Ray Andrews - Neurosis

Description
Moving tenderly without restraint
Days of glory and expansion
Doing things right, inside and out
Then sideswiped, as if a truck
Pulling me down to a dark place
Filling each cranny with tar
Sticking and pulling my feet
Repeated drumming in my mind
Fretting over a mountain I can't move
It won't yield to reason
Nor to love or compassion
Hovering over my home and resting
On my shoulders
It's an unwelcomed guest
Seen in my face and gait
Mired down, my mind accomodates
Well, if it did happen
Well, others have done worse
Well, we could get by
It seems so silly to
Have worried about something
That wouldn't happen
These kinds of fears go unrealized
A new bright current is available
Hop on it and ride emerging
Clarity and peace
Until I'm sideswiped again
My growth is measured
Using tar and time
