Ranjit Ravindran - Unsettled War

As I walked over the ground free,
Carpeted with gun-powder debris,
Rockets criss-crossed my path,
Smoke blurred my vision,
Fiery eruptions,
Deafening explosions,
Cautioned me,
Of that unsettled war.

A war that started,
Eons ago,
Remains unsettled,
Even today;
The evil mortal,
Gets killed,
And evilness resurrects,
With unrelenting vengeance;
Taking refuge,
In another mortal!
