Rani Mukerji - Biography

Rani Mukerji born on 21st March 1978, at Mumbai is an Indian actress, model. She is the daughter of Ram Mukerji, a director and co founder of Filmalaya Studios and Frishna, a play back singer. Her brother Raja is a director and producer. Rani Mukerji is the cousin of actress Kajol and director Ayan Mukerji.

Rani Mukerji is a trained Odissi dancer and has modeled for many brands.

Rani Mukerji made her debut in a Bengali film in the year 1996 and in Hindi films in the year 1997 in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. She has acted in many films like- Ghulam, Mangal Pandey: The Rising, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Hum Tum, Dil Bole Hadippa!, No One Killed Jessica, Yuva, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Bunty Aur Babli.

Rani has won awards for her acting in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Saathiya, Yuva, and Black.

Rani is connected with many charitable causes for the upliftment of women and children. She has also raised funds for earthquake and tsunami victims. She has visited our armed forces at Rajasthan border to boost their morale.
