Ranbir Kapoor was born on 28th September 1982 at Mumbai. He belongs to the fourth generation of highly prestigious and considered to be the first family of Bollywood: Kapoor Family. Ranbir studied at Bombay Scottish School in Mahim, Mumbai and went on to pursue method acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Before starting off his career as an actor, Kapoor appeared in two short films: Passion to Love (2002) and India 1964 (2004). He later began working as an assistant with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where he was involved in the making of the film Black (2005).
A boy next door in Wake up Sid, a Sardar in Rocket Singh, a serious role in the political thriller Raajneeti, an aggressive character in Rockstar and Silent act in Barfee -- Ranbir Kapoor has grown with every film.
