Ranbir Kapoor - Biography

Ranbir Kapoor born on 28th Sept 1982 is an Indian actor and model. He is the son of great actor Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Singh. He has one sister and he is nephew of stars Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor and the grandson of the film legend Raj Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor made 2 short films Passion To Love and India 1964, and directed them before he started his acting career.

Ranbir Kapoor was assistant director of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and made his debut in Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali but the film failed at the box office in the year 2007.

Later Ranbir Kapoor has worked in many films and his performances have been widely appreciated and loved by his fans.

He has done print advertisements and TV commercials for many brands and products.

Ranbir Kapoor has acted in films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Wake Up Sid for which he won the Film Fare Critics Award for best actor, and later for Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani also he won the Film Fare Critics Award for best actor.

He won the best actor award for his mature performance in Rajneeti by Film Fare and for Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year he again won the Critic Award for best actor by Film Fare.

For his role as a singer in Rockstar he won the Film Fare Award for best actor.
