Rajnath Singh files nomination from Lucknow

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh filed his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections from here in Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP president, who is a sitting MP from Ghaziabad is pitched against Congress candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

The Lucknow seat was thrice represented by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
