rajendran muthiah - My Self

I travel oft deep into my self
confined to the inner recesses
of my body-mind complex.
Expecting to marvel
at the subtle integration
of the body and the self,
I attempt to realize my self
for salvation to attain.

When I understand the
fore and deep parts of mind,
I hesitate to believe
the nature of the ‘Self',
its confinement or liberation,
the spiritual preceptors explained.

Being wavered in thoughts
I am unfit to meditate
or prostrate at the feet of God.
But I am not sane to be in fast
and pray to God standing on
a single foot for decades
in dark and light to have
a feel of ‘self', as someone
committed suicide wantonly
to have a feel of death.
