THANKSGIVING!
I thank the Air which still retains its oxygen
content, -
Enabling me to inhale till my last breath, -
keeping me alive!
I thank the Water which quenches my thirst,
Which washes me and cleanses me;
The Holy Water which baptizes me to make
me whole!
I thank the Fire which sheds its warmth,
and gives me light;
The flame that prepares my food to keep me
alive!
I thank the Fire that consumes my body, -
Burning me to ashes, reducing me to dust;
To dissolve me into the bosom of my mother
Earth!
