LIKE AN INCENSE STICK

Let my life slowly burn out like an
incense stick,
With its rising smoke as a prayer of
thanks giving, -
And with the ashes falling at Thy feet!
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust,
Let all mortality be turned to dust!
But let the fragrance of the smoke
remain,
In eternity with Thee - forever to
dwell!
