GRATITUDE!

The sun has risen once more today!
The stars have all faded away!
People are again busy with their chores;
This day like any other, is taken for
granted once more!
The wind has veered round to blow
from the north;
The leaves once more dance to Autumn’s
forgotten song!
Soon they shall all vanish, and be gone!
And with the passing of the dark and
silent night, -
I get up to breathe and feel free once more!
I sit to ponder, reflect and write, -
How each day has become an added
boon in my life!
