Raghavan Warrier - Empty

Shards of broken vase in the corner
Empty inbox and nothing in the outbox
Room littered with million pieces of broken glass
House in the middle of brownish desert and barren sand.

Whirr of fan
Leaking tap’s tik tik
Lengthening shadow of sand dunes
All empty life’s great events.
Proof of consciousness of the frozen statue


Listen to heart’s boring rhythm
To make sure you are still a living corpse
Watch the mirror
To see putrid horror.

Sometimes I hear knocks at the door
Not sure it is a dream or am sane
I am pouring in sweat
But the hinges would have nothing of it.

I have heard that rooms with windows
Can bring the mountain in.

That prayers can cure
Or something like that the preacher said.
People infected with the word disease
Need to bark to get peace.
Analyze
Realize
Prioritize
Organize
Implement
Never fail formula for life’s problems.
Free advice; it costs nothing to give one.
Love thy neighbor
Compassion
Helping hand
Toothlessly conventional wisdom.
