I thought youd always love me
only because you said you would
I thought youd always care
just because you said you could
I thought that forever really meant it
because once you told me it did
I thought my life would be perfect
but I was just acting like a kid
I thought I could show you the world
Because you said theres so much to see
I thought if I gave you my heart
gladly you'd give yours to me
I thought if I opened myself to you
you wouldn't close it like I door
I thought if I gave you everything
you could give me more
