Rachel Brewer - Becoming

I see now, as I’m getting older.
What I will need to become.
I need to be strong and kind,
If I want to survive in this world.
I can’t depend on other people all the time,
And I need to make things happen on my own,
I need to become better and wiser,
Otherwise, I’ll ruin everything.
So as I watch my life progress,
I see what I am.
I realise now what I’m doing,
I’m becoming.
Becoming me.
