I am the ghost of the sunday roast,
I took a piece of toast
and I put it in the post.

Je suis le phantom
pots and pans and lids
I've just fell on my bum
for me any bids?

Through wall I like to go
tasty roast so hot
gravy oer me nicely flows
non corporeal in a pot

Having me for dinner may seem sweet
Except I'll come to haunt
with the leg of lamb famous feat
leaving ye white and gaunt

Best maybe try alternative chicken dinner
whose ghost will only haunt with a cluck
ceasing for old sunday roast to be a sinner
but beware danse macabre of ghostly roast duck!

Now I'm afraid tis time to conclude
I'm sorry you've had such a scare!
best avoid then the phantom food
and feast on jugged hare........
