R Madhavan - Biography

R. Madhavan, born on 1st June 1970, at Jamshedpur, is an Indian actor, producer, television artist, model, television host and has acted in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, English films.

R. Madhavan is married to Sarita Birje and has a son Vedant. He has cultivated a romantic image and has a pan India appeal with millions of women fans and he comes across as a charming and decent actor on the screen. He started his acting career by acting in television serials like Banegi Apni Baat on Zee TV in the year 1996, and became a model endorsing many products and doing commercials and small roles.

R. Madhavan made his debut as a leading man in a film Shanti Shanti Shanti in Kannada in the year 1998 and since then has made a reputation as fine actor.

His notable Hindi films are Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, 3 Idiots, Jhootha Hi Sahi, Tanu weds Manu, Guru, Jodi Breakers, Sikandar, Delhi Heights, 13B and many other films. He has worked with some of the finest directors in Hindi film industry and Tamil film industry like Mani Ratnam and made his mark in all the regional and Hindi films in the mainstream cinema and parallel cinema. He was a television host for the show - Deal Ya No Deal, and owns a production house Leukos Films and has produced a film Evano Oruvan.
