Queensland councils target illegal waste dumping

Last year Queensland councils collected enough illegally dumped waste to fill more than 1,000 garbage trucks. In outer suburban areas such as Logan and Ipswich, small council teams are tasked with finding those responsible for dumping old furniture, car tyres and toxic industrial waste.
