Quebec students protest university-fee rise
12 Views • Jun 06, 2012
Description
Until now, they have been paying just over $2,000 a year, the lowest in the country.
For seven weeks, there have been class boycotts, demonstrations and occasional angry confrontations with police.
The students now plan to target Quebec's unpopular government.
With an election expected next year, the students are threatening to use their votes to keep tuition fees low.
Al Jazeera's Daniel Lak reports from Sherbrooke.
