Putin Prankster Taken Off the Ice
18 Views • Feb 22, 2018
Description
Political prankster Jeff Jetton donned a Vladimir Putin mask and skated into the Barclays Center’s Ice rink on February 18, 2018. A security guard was unhappy and attempted to remove Jeff from the ice and take his flag.
Jeff told Storyful, “I do different political pranks and things investigating Trump and Russia (links to two articles</a> in which Jeff features</a>). Since I’m a season ticket holder I got the chance to skate at the Islanders’ game, and it seemed like a good chance to make a statement about Putin’s influence over American politics. Which is why I had that Team USA jersey made with Putin’s name embroidered on the back. Apparently security at the Barclays Center thought it was a bad idea.”
The Russian national anthem was added later to the video. Credit: Andrew Parker via Storyful
