Push for mandatory vaccines for aged care workers

The Prime Minister and State and Territory leaders have stopped short of mandating vaccinations for residential aged care workers. National cabinet has instead agreed to “encourage” workers to get vaccinated while awaiting further advice from health experts on how States and Territories could implement a compulsory system.
