Puppetry is one of the most popular sports among the children of rural Bangladesh. It is usually played more by girls. Puppetry is equally popular all over Bangladesh. It goes without saying that there is no girl in Bangladesh who has not played with dolls. Nowadays, dolls are also a collection of fancy people. In two rhymes of Faridpur and Mymensingh region, wonderful pictures of the joys and sorrows of puppet marriage have emerged.
পুতুল খেলা গ্রাম বাংলার শিশুদের কাছে অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় খেলা। এটি সাধারনত মেয়েরা বেশি খেলে থাকে। বাংলার সর্বত্রই পুতুল খেলা সমান জনপ্রিয়। পুতুল খেলেনি এমন মেয়ে বাংলায় নেই বললেই চলে। বর্তমানে পুতুল শৌখিন মানুষের সংগ্রহেরও বস্তু। ফরিদপুর ও ময়মনসিংহ অঞ্চলের দুটি ছড়াগানে পুতুল বিয়ের আনন্দ-বেদনার চমৎকার ছবি ফুটে উঠেছে।
