Pune reports seven Omicron cases

A total of seven people have been found infected with Covid-19 Omicron variant in Pune. District Surveillance Officer of Health Department, Dr Pradip Awate, asserted that people are yet to know about the severity of the disease as samples present even at the national level are not adequate. “So far, 30,000 passengers coming from abroad have been tested, 10 have been found to be Omicron positive in Maharashtra. Pending results will be received in a day or two”, said Dr Awate.
