Protests continue in Syria

Protests across Syria as a 1pm deadline to allow monitors from the Arab league inside the country, expires.
Reuters cannot independently verify the content of these videos, posted on a social media website, showing large crowds calling for the overthrow of President Bashar al-Assad.
The Arab League says it will now give Damascus until the end of the day to sign the deal or face sanctions.
The proposal would allow monitors inside Syria to assess the progress of an Arab League plan to end the bloodshed - or face sanctions.
Neighbours, Turkey and Jordan are among those urging Syria to sign the deal, as Jordanian foreign minister Nasser Judah reiterated on Friday.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) JORDANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER NASSER JUDAH SAYING:
"There will be events today, I hope where it is anticipated that Syria will either sign the protocol of the Arab League or not sign it and hopefully they will sign it. This is the collective wish of the Arab world and if they don't, God forbid, we will have to meet again."
Meanwhile an unidentified Syrian military spokesman accused foreign elements of staging an attack on an air force base that killed 10 military personnel on Thursday.
He said the attacks proved that there was foreign involvement in the eight-month revolt against Assad's rule.
