Protesters under arrest in Russia
Description
STORY: Russian police arrested between 10 to 14 opposition activists at an unsanctioned protest next to Moscow's Red Square on Saturday.
The protest was intended to draw attention to jailed activists, including the 'Bolotnaya 17' - a group of people arrested during a protest on the eve of Putin's inauguration in May 2012, one of whom was sentenced to four-and-a-half years for "mass disorder" and violence against the police.
One of the activists brought a wreath to lay to the monument of the famous Soviet marshal Gerogy Zhukov near Red Square.
"We want to say that democracy in Russia has died. That's its funeral," said Ekaterina when asked by a journalist about the purpose of her action.
