Description

Nine days after the police siege of Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University started, management entered the campus on November 26 to persuade remaining protesters to leave. University Vice President Alexander Wai Ping-kong said the school talked to police and the force agreed not to immediately arrest protesters when they left the site. The government set up a police safety group to deal with the situation in PolyU and said it would deploy the team only if the school failed to break the deadlock.
